Hi, I’m Lucy A. McLaren and I’m a writer of fantasy stories that focus on the light of human connection in dark, oppressive societies.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to the magic of storytelling, whether that be via books, video games, TV shows or films.
Fantasy has always been my genre of choice (though I do also love a good horror, psychological thriller or murder mystery). There is something inherently captivating about journeying into another world with a character—though I do find myself most drawn to fantasy stories, characters and worlds that aren’t so different from our own.
I am currently working on a dark fantasy trilogy called The Commune’s Curse. The first and second books in this series, Awakening and The Mad Man’s Hope are available now. You can learn more about this series by going to The Commune’s Curse tab.
